Is the warranty on this product a factory warranty from Yamaha?
Yes, you get the full manufacturer’s warranty from Yamaha Australia which would be covered by any local Yamaha service center.
How frequently do I have to change the motor oil? Product info says to change it after the first 20hrs, and after this first change?
After the first oil change, the recommended oil change time frame is every 6 months or 100 hours of use.
Is this generator suitable for my mobile catering business?
Yes, this is a popular generator for mobile food catering, food/coffee vans and the like. One of the main reasons is that it is one of the largest portable inverter generators on the market and often for these sorts of businesses, you will need quite a bit of power to run appliances like coffee makers/grinders, deep fryers, fridges, commercial blenders etc.
Can you get a Parallel lead for this generator to connect two together for more total output?
No you can't with this model. In the Yamaha range, only the EF2000iS and EF2400iS have parallel capabilities.
What are payment options? and what warranty do I get?
Payment Options are: Visa, MasterCard, Direct Debit, PayPal or Zip pay. You can select from these options at the checkout. The generator comes with a 4 year domestic warranty and 12 month commercial warranty.
What is an inverter generator?
An inverter is a lightweight microprocessor that converts power from direct current (DC) into alternating current (AC). They are a fairly recent advancement in technology from the older style conventional generators. Which means a inverter generator produces very clean power which is required to run sensitive electronic equipment such as laptops, mobile phones, camera equipment etc.
Other benefits of inverter generators are that they are much smaller and lighter than standard open frame style generators and tend to operate at very low noise levels (less than 60 decibels). They are also very efficient; their engine speed automatically adjusts in accordance with the required load, maximizing fuel efficiency.
