What is the reason for this recall?
Honda motor Co., Ltd. is conducting a RECALL of certain EU22i Generators due to a potential Overheating risk in the Inverter of the unit. Honda has determined that moisture entry into the Inverter Coupler may cause corrosion, resulting in increased resistance and, in the worst case, could cause a FIRE.

What should you do?
Replacement parts for this campaign will not be immediately available, so we are asking that you avoid using the generator, if at all possible. If you must use the generator, please ensure good airflow around the unit, and check that the sides of the generator do not become hot during usage. As soon as parts are available, we will advise you to contact your nearest Honda Dealer to have the Generator repaired. Please discuss with the Dealer how long you will need to leave your generator at the dealership for the repair to be completed. The dealer will repair or replace the affected components at no cost to you.

What is the reason for this recall?
Honda Motor Co., Ltd. is conducting a RECALL of certain EU22i Generators due to a potential fuel leak from the Fuel Cock. Honda has determined that loose or miss-installed screws can cause the fuel to leak during operation, storage or transportation and in the worst case, could cause a FIRE, although there have been no reported cases to date.
How do I know if mine is impacted?
Units impacted were sold between 2 January 2018 and 27 February 2019.
What should I do if I own one?
Call any authorised Honda Power Equipment dealer and make an appointment to have the Fuel Cock replaced. Please plan to leave your generator at the dealership for at least one day to allow for dealer scheduling. The dealer will inspect and replace the affected components at no cost to you.
