Auto Voltage Regulator (AVR)

A AVR controlled generator is designed to consistently control voltage. The AVR keeps the output voltage more constant, regardless of the load, This means no spikes or brownouts. AVR or Automatic Voltage Regulation type of generator is ideal for use when power is required for more sensitive equipment and when the generator will be used to start electric motors. An AVR generator provides a more stable voltage output than the Conventional style generator to compensate for the variation in voltage from load changes. Commonly used for domestic and commercial back up power as well as businesses running equipment requiring more sensitive supply.

Digital Auto Voltage Regulator (D-AVR)

The D-AVR is designed to hold the voltage stability within a +/- 1% change during operation. The D-AVR adjustsments are driven off the main winding, versus a sensor winding on conventional AVR controlled generators. Additionally the D-AVR is protected from overheating by a thermistor.

CYCLO-Converter

The Cyclo-converter models offers the same benefits as a AVR controlled generator but at a lower size and weight. This technology is available from Honda on their EM30 Model generator

Inverter

Inverters produce the cleanest power of all. Inverter generators offer a number of other benefits over the above mentioned generators including less noise, lower weight, greater fuel efficiency. The Inverter range of generators is the ideal power source for people on the move. This range combines the latest in Inverter technology with a lightweight, easy to carry design. Inverters produce the purest power of all and their control system maintains an extremely high accuracy level of voltage. These units are perfect for sensitive electronics, such as computers and are a common type of generator for recreational uses and for domestic backup requirements to run fridges, lights etc. Inverter generators provide super quiet operation with noise reducing casing and acoustic panelling. These models also automatically adjust the engine speed to the optimum level, given the usage load meaning greater fuel efficiency.
